NEW ACQUISITION AT BIEMMEDUE SPA

The company BIEMMEDUE SPA - founded in 1979 in Cherasco (CN), which employs 160 people and has an annual turnover of about € 30 million from the manufacture of a wide range of space heaters, high-pressure cleaners, sweepers, vacuum cleaners and dehumidifiers, is pleased to announce the formalisation of an important acquisition.

In fact, on 29 August 2019, a purchase transaction of the company branch of STEAMTECH S.r.l., from Adro (BS) was closed.

Thanks to the decade-long experience of its founding partners, STEAMTECH manufactures a wide range of cleaning appliances using steam and suction for sanitising, disinfecting and sterilising environments, for both domestic and professional use according to the highest quality standards that are “Made in Italy”.

The CEO Marco Costamagna, commented:

“With the acquisition of the STEAMTECH S.r.l. business branch, Biemmedue has strengthened its presence and expanded its offer of cleaning products, positioning itself as one of the main manufacturing companies in the sector, which are “Made in Italy”. This will provide our customers with a range of products suitable to meet all types of their cleaning needs. The new branch acquired specialises in making systems that generate a powerful, dry steam capable of purifying any environment or object. Therefore, these products’ function is to destroy germs and bacteria together with all those chemical, physical and organic substances that are contraindicated especially for the hygiene of particular environments. This is a real and effective sterilization function, which in short is essential for all those businesses such as food service, textiles, car washing and mechanical applications as well. That is not to mention its utilisation in all those facilities used to accommodate people whose state of health requires special attention to compliance with the strictest hygienic standards (hospitals, kindergartens, nursing homes, hotels, etc.) Using steam offers many advantages. It reduces water consumption, cleans without the use of chemical detergents, improves health, safety and in general the image of the facility, while eliminating unpleasant odours and improving air quality.”

Mr Costamagna continued:

“Our industrial plan provides for the relocation in September 2019 of our manufacturing plant, know-how and assembly lines to the new industrial site in Cherasco, which will be dedicated to ‘cleaning’ products. Our aim is to implement new synergies capable of ensuring the company, in the context of an increasingly competitive market, new job prospects, future development and solidity for the benefit of our personnel and a guarantee of their employment stability”.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors Mariano Costamagna, who together with his brother Pier Antonio Costamagna represent all of the shareholders, pointed out:
