BIEMMEDUE ASPIRATORS ATEX CERTIFIED

INDUSTRIAL VACUUM CLEANERS

ATEX certified BIEMMEDUE vacuum cleaners

ATEX vacuum cleaners are machines designed with very precise construction logic and intended for the suction and filtration of potentially explosive substances in industrial environments.

The term "ATEX" refers to a series of European directives (Atmosphères Explosibles) which regulate safety standards for installations in which explosive atmospheres may occur and for environments where the presence of flammable gases or dust is common (such as of chemistry, oil, gas, pharmaceuticals and food).

The ATEX directive classifies these "risk environments" into two main categories:

  • Zones 0, 1 and 2 for environments with flammable gases

  • Zones 20, 21 and 22 for environments with flammable dust

These aspirators therefore have the task of preventing the risk of explosions by sucking in the air contaminated by gas or dust, filtering it through specific filtration systems and returning the treated air safely to the surrounding environment, so as to guarantee maximum safety, both of the operators and of the working environment.

ATEX vacuum cleaners must meet specific safety standards and regulations. In particular, they are required to be equipped with anti-explosion filters and an earthing system capable of preventing the formation of sparks during machine operation. Furthermore, it is important that vacuum cleaners also comply with safety standards relating to the containment of vacuumed dust and the prevention of overheating. Finally, they must comply with specific regulations for CE marking.

The new ATEX industrial vacuum cleaners from BIEMMEDUE

BIEMMEDUE, a leading company in the production of industrial vacuum cleaners, has recently launched two new vacuum cleaner models designed to meet ATEX requirements:

  • TT model: this industrial vacuum cleaner has been designed for the collection of dust for zone 22, in environments at risk of explosion. Thanks to its explosion-proof motor and filtration system, the TT ensures effective and safe cleaning in complex environments

  • TTX model: similar to the TT model, the BIEMMEDUE TTX vacuum cleaner has been designed for the collection of dust for zone 22, but with superior performance in terms of power and collection capacity. This model is ideal for companies that need a more robust solution for cleaning in explosion-risk environments.

These are industrial vacuum cleaners that represent a safe and effective solution for companies that operate in environments with a high risk of explosion and which guarantee efficient and safe cleaning, protecting the health of workers and the integrity of equipment.

ATEX industrial vacuum cleaners: characteristics

  • Single-phase and three-phase models for continuous use without interruption

  • Extra-large filtration chamber for even higher filtration efficiency (TTXEX)

  • Extra-large recovery tank can hold 100 litres of waste material (TTXEX)

  • Extremely easy to maintain: easy removal of both containers to facilitate emptying and filter changing operations without the need to lift and remove the heavy turbine

  • All units are equipped with a vacuum gauge to indicate the level of filter saturation and consequently the right time to clean or change the latter mentioned

  • Motor embedded thermal switch to prevent overheating

  • All units have a safety device to prevent unexpected restart (ex. after power failure)

  • ATEX Z22 certified side channel turbine

  • Special grounding system ensures resistance to ground < 10 Ohm of the various parts of the frame

  • Inner drum dust deflector with non-sparking brass foil to prevent impacting material from creating sparks

  • Grounding clamp with 3 meters of cable to secure the vacuum cleaner to the building ground

  • New version filter shaker with rubber parts made with dissipative compound

  • Anti-static air outlet diffuser, which serves to prevent concentrated air currents

  • Standard vacuum relief valve to prevent the turbine from overheating beyond the temperature stated in the ATEX string (125°C)
